Rental Terms and Conditions
Minimum age
The Customer must be 25 years old and has held
a current valid motorcycle driver's license for at least one
year.
Additional driver
There are no extra charges. Only Customers
signing the rental agreement are allowed to drive the
vehicle.
Payment
American Express, Mastercard
and Visa credit cards. Cash payment is allowed, but Customer is subject to the payment of a deposit of the total rental cost plus the amount of the LDW deductible.
Delivery and return
On appointment, Monday to Friday 9.00 - 12.00 / 15.00 - 19.00, Saturday 9.00 - 12.00.
Delivery and return can be carried out directly at the hotel or other Customer accommodation, in this case a supplement to be agreed may be required.
The rental day is considered of 24 hours with a tolerance of 59 minutes, after that a further rental day will be charged.
Motorcycle use
Is authorized in all European countries.
Customer is responsible of the correct use and routine maintenance of the vehicle.
One-Way rentals
Are
subject to a supplementary charge of 1,5 Eur/Km.
Equipment and accessories
Rideitaly vehicles are equipped with 2 hard side-cases or soft side bags or top case or roll bag (dependent upon model), and electronic and/or mechanical antitheft device.
Helmet use is required by law in all European countries, Rideitaly provide open and full-face helmets rental for Euro 5 per day. Customers are however encouraged to bring their own helmets for comfort and style reasons.
Personal riding gear should be brought along or can be purchased upon arrival.
Insurance
The Customer is liable for any damages arising from utilization of the vehicle. Rideitaly vehicles are insured for legal liability, as required by Italian law, providing third party liability insurance.
Liability of the Customer
The Customer will be liable for any damages
occurring to the vehicle and for fire or theft of the vehicle. Such
liability is limited to a Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) deductible from
Euro 2.000 to Euro 3.000 depending on vehicle model. The LDW
deductible amount is also the vehicle model safety and security
deposit. Customer's liability is always unlimited when:
- willful misconduct or gross negligence of the Customer or other drivers occurs
- damages are as a result of Customer's repair attempts not authorized by Rideitaly
- the keys of the vehicles are not returned
- for use of the vehicle outside western European (Austria, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Luxemburg, Norway, Netherlands, Portugal, United Kingdom, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland) countries.
While the Customer is renting the vehicle, is liable for any
offence committed under any applicable laws.
Liability of Rideitaly
Rideitaly will not be
liable for any damages which may arise from failures of the vehicle,
may occur if the vehicle is not delivered, or may be caused by any
other reasons, unless the willful misconduct or gross negligence of
Rideitaly occurs. Rideitaly will not be liable for any damages
occurring to Customer's property while it is in the vehicle or left
in the vehicle following its return.
Fuel
Not
included in the rates. If the vehicle is returned without the same
quantity of fuel, a refueling service of Euro 10 will be charged in
addition to the missing fuel.
Highway tolls
In case of non-payment of the highway toll, Rideitaly will charge the Customer for Euro 30 for administrative expenses in addition to the highway toll itself.
Tax
20% Italian VAT is included.
